i got a used simac ice cream man. it works, but as its churning, the
paddle slows and then stops, altho the motor is running. this happens
when the ice cream is partially the consistency of soft serve , but
also partly "soupy". i usually use a heavy plastic spoon and spatula to
keep it going for a few more minutes, then turn the mixture into an ice
cream mold. but this keeps me hovering over the machine, and sort of
defeats the "so easy" aspect of the whole procedure. should i be
transferring it out of the freezer sooner?
