Popcorn machine - how to add salt?

We have just bought one of these small tabletop popcorn machines. It blows
hot air and the popcorn comes out a chute on the top when they're done,
directly into the bowl.

Anyway, you're not supposed to add any oil at all.. and this works
perfectly well. The problem, however, is that there's no point in adding
salt afterwards as the salt doesn't stick to the popcorn. Not a single
grain of salt. So, is there a trick to getting salt to stick? Can one add
a bit of oil with the grain, even though the instructions specifically say
that one shouldn't use oil? (I suppose using oil would splutter burning
hot oil out through the chute as well as the popcorn).

Kind regards,
Paul Roberts.

Ahh.. good idea. Thanks, I'll try that :-)

Kind regards,
