Krups Ice Cream Maker Model 337
Am I correct in assuming this is what is not sold as the Cuisinart Ice
Cream Maker? I purchased the Krups at a thrift store and was looking for instructions. It looks nothing like the current Krups and very much like the Cuisinart. It is make in Italy, of all places. -- Jerry Bank Trenton, New Jersey Music is the language of the gods. |

I have been looking at ice cream makers recently and it seems a lot of them are made in Italy. Sorry I can't help with your question. I am still looking for a good self-cooling ice cream maker. Chefs Catalog has what looks like a nice bargain Lello Il Gelataio Electronic Ice Cream Maker $199 It says it takes 40 minutes to make a quart of ice cream which is a little slower than the more expensive units, but I'm tempted to give it a try. http://www.chefscatalog.com/store/ca...showCrumb=true Scott Peterson -- Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it, misdiagnosing it and then misapplying the wrong remedies. Ours looks very much like the Cuisinart (which we also have) and seems to work the same. It has a base with a lid with a hole in the middle of it and a paddle and of course the cylinder. You freeze the metal cylinder, then when ready to make ice cream, you assemble the whole thing, turn it on, and then pour in your ingredients. If you put in more than a quart, it comes out of the top as it swells with freezing. I checked for an instruction manual but all I can find is a recipe book. We just put in yogurt mixed with fruit and turn it on. Make sure you store the canister in the coldest freezer available. Bev C |
