Default Tinting chocolate

Is there an easy way to tint chocolate? I have several molds for goodies
that would look better in color.

There are a few ways depending on what you want to do.
First, there is a product called, "Luster Dust" which is a
dry powedered product that you brush on the surface of chocolate
after it has been molded and cooled. It's available in a large
number of colors.

If you want to paint the inside of the mold with colored white
chocolate you just need to find oil based food coloring. This
will mix with the white chocolate. You add the color during
tempering and then just paint the inside of the mold. You can
fill the mold with milk or dark afterward, but the color layer
will remain on the surface when unmolded.

Hope that helps.

If you search at eBay you can find a full book about this.

If your food color paste is oil based, you can add it to chocolate after it has been tempered. If you use it in confectioner's coating, you add it after it is melted completely.
