In all my travels, I kinda think my hometown has a good many bars, and
perhaps more bars per capita. than most other cities. Did not find much
on the web. I'm sure there must be some info.There is one section in
town that has at least 3 bars on each block. South Side. I see 27 bars
listed on one site, but theres more little unlisted bars I'm positive.

According to http://www.mensfitness.com/rankings/148, St Louis and
Milwaukee have the top number of bars per capita (and having been to
both, this sounds right). They also note that Mesa, AZ has the
fewest, and having lived there, that also sounds plausible.

There is one concentration here in Pittsburgh, South Side, with 84
bar/bar-restuarants.within a mile.

Pittsburgh 200 423K

Milwaukee 198 583K

Atlanta 267 425K

I'm not going to compute the ratio, but clearly, Milwaukee and St.
Louis are
out of the running. Atlanta looks like the champ amoungst these cities.

bars, one of which has a top flight selection of micro brews. 31taps
none of which are in any why related to budcoorsmiller. Not bad for a

Especially if you broaden the equation to: bars x population x cascade
hops.

According to census data, where I used to live (Glidden, WI), they have
5 taverns and a population of about 350...

the town adjacent to mine S. Amboy NJ not too long ago had the most
bars per square mile...the town is only one square mile and has in the
area of 10-13 bars

I live in Allison Park. Etna ain't bad for having bars. I think if you
closed all the bars and Pizza shops in Etna, that would take away most
of Etna's Industry.
Sharpsburg has their share, Aspinwall has a couple, Blawnox is pretty
well stocked with bars. In fact, going by per capita, Blawnox might
give Etna a run for the title. And then there's Millvale.

If we're allowed to push this concept to an extreme, I can nominate
Cleator, Arizona, halfway up the long dirt ex-railroad-right-of-way
road to Crown King, Arizona. It is the archetype of a true Wild West
"ghost town" with several abandoned houses, an abandoned schoolhouse,
and one saloon still operated by the town's sole resident caretaker.
(Said town is still legally owned by the Cleator family, who now lives
elsewhere.) Do an Internet search and you may find several online
accounts by off-roaders and 4WD enthusiasts.

So that's one functioning bar, one resident. The ratio doesn't get any
higher, folks.

I didn't want to get into small towns, but comes to mind some small
towns
in Nevada I've travled through. One spot outside Yuma Mexico, is
a L or horshoe shaped set of bars, or I should say whorehouses, and
thats
all there is. Its all bars. The place reminds me of the movie where the
crooks hijack a RV and go to this remote bar out in the desert. Its the
Zona!
