I've been reading this newgroup for some time now. Im just wondering, are
there readers who are not from the US? It seems like I'm the only one from
the netherlands.
although this newsgroup is very usefull, somtimes it helps if you can see,
smell and taste what people create.
the message ; has there ever been..... about a alt.food.barbeque get
together is a great idee. anybody intrested in a get together in the

Adriaan, try www.teranews.com

It's a free download and will let you view binary groups. It's not the most
reliable but it usually works.

or www.forteinc.com

Their agent newsreader is also free but for $2.95 a month their premium
newsreader is worth the minimum investment.

I don't, but, rest assured, you'll get several replies from those who do.

Try Teranews (http://www.teranews.com)

There is a one time signup fee of US$3.95. You can then download
80 mb per day. I have an account with them.
For a time I had an ISP (Direcway.com) that did not provide newsgroup
service at all. Teranews is erratic from time to time, but overall it is not
to bad. I still test Teranews from time to time and it always works. They
also offer full service accounts for a monthly fee. There are many
reasonably priced news services, but Teranews is the only free one that
I know of.

Or Xnews is free, I like it about the same for usability as Forte.
