Is apple cider vinegar anything like regular vinegar?
I'd like to try Dannys glaze but I don't have anything but regular vinegar? Any other suggestions for glazing? #################### http://www.eaglequest.com/~bbq/faq/10.html#10.1.1 Danny's Rib and Pork Finishing glaze: Mix the following ingredients together: 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup yellow mustard, and 1/4 to 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar. Then heat in a sauce pan until it simmers and let it sit until the ribs are ready to baste. #################### -- Better living through smoking. |

You can use regular vinegar, but it just won't be the same. How far are you from the store? |

If anyone but you guys (through the FAQ) would have told me to mix brown sugar, mustard, and vinegar and brush it on my beautiful baby-backs, I'd have backed slowly away. Next time, I think I'll do as Prof Wiviotts recommends and apply it before my rub. I'm full. -- Better living through smoking. |
