Default And the Tsunami ripples keep expaning outward touching more shores and more people...

Bad news today..

I just found out that family friend and his girlfriend are missing in
Thailand. Their families knew they were vacationing in Thailand (they
had been a number of times before) but weren't sure exactly where they
were.

After not hearing from them after the Tsunami, they pulled up their
credit card records which showed the last entry of them checking into
a beachfront hotel in Phuket.

<sigh..>

All are holding out hope for the best, but the gnawing fear continues
to grow as time goes by without further word.

Chef, this just deepens my sadness. I know the anguish of waiting, not
knowing. My best hopes are with you, them and their families and other
friends.

CNN.com has put together a message board of sorts, on which people can
submit e-mail messages seeking information about friends, relatives,
etc. It's organized by region, including Thailand.

Don't give up hope. A 2-year-old boy was reunited with his father the
other day, after the boy's uncle spotted his picture on the web.

This just gets worse doesn't it? I am so sorry Chef, our prayers go out to
you and to all connected in this sad time.
My friend has discovered that his Sister and Brother are OK but he has lost
several of his close friends.

Good luck to your friends; they might still turn up safe.

We were worried about a friend of ours travelling in Indonesia and
Thailand, but she happened to be in central Java when the earthquake
struck. It must have been a stiff shake, but she was safe from the
tsunami.
