When I was a kid, we let them ripen on the tree, they become a mush. Have
you ever seen breadfruit (in the tropics)? It has different stages, as does
paw paws.
The ripened paw paws, we would just suck out the mush and eat it. I was say
it is akin to if you took a ripe mango and pureed it. Taste it in the fully
ripened stage and see if there is something you'd like to do with it -- look
for some mango recipes for some smoothies, maybe. You are one lucky person.
I've read that they usually grow in wild-type areas where there are a lot of
overgrown trees surrounding them.
