Default Rec:wild rice with dried cherries and scallions made in a rice cooker

Seems I have a new cookbook..The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook
And this ricipe looked good.

Wild Rice with Dried Cherries and Scallions
(for either on/off type or fuzzy logic type machines).

1 cup wild rice
2 1/2 cups chicken stock
4 scallions white part and some of the green, minced
2 tbsp chopped cilantro
1 cup dried tart cherries
1/2 tsp jalapeno pepper seeded and minced (optional)

Coat rice cooker bowl with non-stick cooking spray.
Add stock and wild rice, swirl to mix. Cover & Select regular/brown rice
cycle. When machine switches to keep warm cycle, stir to disapate heat
and prevent over cooking, scatter on top the onions, cilantro, cherries,
jalapeno. Cover and allow to steam 15 minutes on keep warm. Stir with
wooden spoon and serve.

I'll probably replace the cherries with cranberries, and increase the
jalapeno to 1 tsp to start.

This cookbook actually gives the size of the measuring scoop that comes
with the cooker (180 ml or 3/4 cup). But this recipe is in standard
measuring cup measurements.
