I liked the area and the wineries enough that while I was there I looked at
buying an old downtown home that is 3 blocks from downtown in an old
historic area. The homes were on average 110 years old.

Since last year the restaurant scene in this little town has really grown
up. Outstanding.

Also the wines, I was so so impressed with the wines and how friendly
everyone was. I was there Sunday through Thursday. Many a winery was not
open but if you called they almost all made themselves available. Very Very
nice. Plus, unlike much of Napa, the winemaker/owner would be present and
take you on tours. It kind of reminds of Napa 30 years ago...except I did
not go there 30 years ago :-), so let me re-phrase...reminds me of what I
would think Napa was like 30 years ago.
