If the question is about commercial wineries, then there are only two
software packages in use. Winemaker's Database (WMDB:
http://www.wmdb.com/)
which is an old program written in FoxPro and AMS. I have a lot more
experience with WMDB.
Both packages tend to have more to do with cellar additions and TTB
compliance and slightly less with analysis (well they do it they're
just not directed towards it). I have worked at a large winery (top 10
in the world by volume) that used a specialize Access database for
analysis. Overall, I think the field is a little far behind and an
updated system would do us good.
