I have that book. It's mostly about the business side
of being a confectioner rather than making confectionery.
And it very much reflects the state of the business
in pre-war England, though much of the advice is
universally applicable. The author has lots of
interesting anecdotes about dealing with customers,
employees, and suppliers.
http://www.addall.com/Used/ has 44 listings, starting
at $11.83. I think I paid more than that for my copy,
but certainly not much more. This is not a rare book.
