That kind of pre - done stuff is a huge money maker for the stores...it's no
wonder they push it.

Memorial Day I made cole slaw for a coupla cookouts, I think the whole
amount I spent was less than four bux for the huge amount I made (four heads
of cabbage, two bags of carrots, red bell peppers, scallions, dressing
ingredients). Some young gal commented, "Wow, this is good, where'd you buy
it?". When I explained that I actually *made* it she expressed amazement
that someone would actually get out the food processor to chop the
ingredients and not buy a bottled coleslaw dressing...to listen to her you'd
think it was pioneer days or something. I'm like "Hey, I didn't *grow* the
cabbage and stuff...", lol...
