What timings?
The timer times it, I just come back when I hear the ding which is the
bell going off indicating that the steamer has just turned off. The
electric veggie steamer fills multiple rolls hence it uses less space
than various stuff that fills only one role.

Mind you I haven't made soft boiled eggs in it and probably never
will...as I like eggs but have little use for soft boiled when I could
get sunny fried, poached or scrambled instead.

Hard boiled eggs are used as lunch snacks, sliced as salad toppings or in
egg salads and being deviled or other uses.
