Why do you want to commit infanticide----Dal Forno can't compete with
older Quintarelli or massive Masi's, Giacomo Conterno Monfortino 1961
was classic as was a 64 Gaja, early Sassicaia created a wave of
innovative wines. They've declined but the 1964 Barbi Brunello was a
classic---Monsanto Chianti Il Poggio opened eyes as did Le Pergole
Torte. Masterberandino Taurasi Riservas & Fianos dominated the
south. Besides Monsanto I always looked for the Nippozano Chianti
Ruffino Riserva.
The magic word for ordering off a wine list is "Vecchio"--not "Giovane"
