We had another busy Saturday. This means a lot of eating out.
We were in the neighborhood of Thornton's so we dropped in for lunch.
DH had the Shepard's pie. They make it with ground beef and veggies
then top it with the_best_ mashed potatoes.
They put the crock it is cooked in on a plate and surround it with
perfectly cooked veggies. Really, really delicious.

I had the corned beef sandwich served on an onion roll with dark
grainy mustard, Irish cheddar cheese and chips. I can't remember when
or if I've ever had corned beef as good as this.

As if this wasn't enough food, tonight was the night of the local
V.F.W.'s monthly steak fry. We came home and got the groceries put
away just in time to go. Of course we had to go, our friends would be
there.
They put out a nice little salad bar and Ranch Style beans.
Here's my steak dinner, it was overcooked.

What the heck, it's the company in which it is eaten that's important.
