Default Increase in Foodborne Illness

I was notified today that because of the recent increase in foodborne
illness and resulting legal actions, Lexis-Nexis has announced the
publication of a new law reporter, "Mealey's Litigation Report: Food
Liability", commencing in April, to track developments in related
litigation and other legal actions. The report will focus on "foodborne
illness such as e. coli infections, hepatitis, salmonella poisoning, &
Norwalk virus, as well as issues related to obesity, food labeling, food
packaging and content".

There was some discussion here recently which addressed whether there
was an increase in food adulteration events. Given the rise in
litigation on these matters, I think it's safe to say that foodborne
illness is increasing.
