I bought an Oxo, used it once, then promptly returned it. The problem is
that it spins in one direction only, and doesn't really spin all that fast
no matter how hard you pump on it, and the lettuce will always be wet
compared to other designs.

I bought a Zyliss to replace the Oxo, and am quite happy with it. It's the
centrifugal type with a string. With each tug of the string you change the
direction of the spin. It spins much faster than the Oxo (depending on how
hard you pull, of course), and you end up with drier lettuce in much less
time.
