People who find themselves in a financial crunch and have to switch schools
should call themselves "former Ivy League" students. For instance,
Michelle could have said "I was an Ivy League student, but am now attending
classes at Cobb County Community College." I agree with you in that it
probably a weak attempt to save face and posture.
