You're using "carb" to refer to foods that contain carbs. That's a
broader use of "carb" than Susan and I, for instance, have been using.

Well, yeah. No-one's arguing against that. What we're arguing against
is the idea that the *carbs* are essential. They're not. There are no
essential carbohydrates.
