The last time I did I ground a lemon in the disposal, I thought my
husband was going to explode... he said I was ruining the garbage
disposal. Sheesh, I thought it was supposed to be used - but he
apparently thinks that nothing harder on the disposal than a carrot
will do. IMO they wear out so it's just a matter of time when it
happens. In the mean time, use it.
