Same here. I keep a lot of canned beans on hand, black beans being one of
them. And yes, I drain and rinse them. The liquid in the can of black
beans is, well, black! I used a can to make a quick black bean soup once
without rinsing and the soup came out black, too. Most unpleasant to look
at, but it was still tasty!
