I never claimed to be "the authority everyone else here should be listening
to on the subject." I do however have the education and background (30 years
in biomedical research, 20 years professor at Duke Medical Center) to
evaluate and understand all the claims and counterclaims regarding low carb
diet safety. I was very skeptical at first but my reading convinced me
otherwise.
