Remember it's just a piece of cinnamon stick. I don't think the flavor
will be overpowering. I'd stay with 1 tsp of rose water to begin with
though. You can always add, but you can't take away. You won't want
the rosewater flavor to predominate, just enhance. Also, I don't think
the sugar to water will make the syrup too sweet - but you could reduce
the sugar if you wish. A recipe is merely a guideline, adjust it as
you see fit.
