I keep a beautiful tray I bought years ago from The Smithsonian museum
shop on my counter next to my stove. On that gorgeous tray I keep
assorted bottles of olive oils (2), assorted vinegars (3), salt, a tall
pepper grinder, a sugar bowl, and a small squat ceramic pitcher filled
with my cooking tools. I like to keep everything at hand, and because it
is slightly contained it looks appropriate and not messy.
