Just a sec. I got to try that...

Mmmm....garlicky cherries...
It'd probably take a few sacrificial lambs before the
juice comes out without that pinch to it, but it does
do the job pretty well. Turns a cherry into a few ml
of concentrated red sugar-water in a tick.
Slicing the cherries and putting them in skin-side-up
would help, too.
