Heh - whenever I go to the West Coast of the UK for work (I live in the
UK), my Dad *insists* I pick up a few pounds of Sees at SF airport.
None of them do much for me; I find a lot of American chocolate too
sweet, but Sees are really pretty fine. I did have some Fanny Farmer's
peanut butter things once which were absolutely magic, having said
that.
Damn. I'm craving now, and said chocolates are about 6000 miles away.
Visitors to the UK should try Artisan du Chocolat chocolates if you can
justify the spend; they're superlatively good and well worth it. My
favourite chocolate bar is Green and Black's Maya Gold, which is a high
cocoa-solid dark chocolate with some orange oil, not too much sugar,
and a little cinnamon and nutmeg (not enough to overwhelm, just to
underline the chocolate). Glorious.
