Oh, man... you wasted your time and effort. It's a LOT easier to
clean the grill when it's hot! It doesn't matter how grungy the grill
is, just wire brush it when the coals are red. It's as easy as wiping
ash off the bottom of a self-cleaning oven, except you won't lose the
seasoning.
