Default What are your favorite cookbooks? "The Joy of Cooking", "The Way to Cook"?

I agree that JOC is a gem, but it is not in the same league as Julia's
first book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. If you want good food,
use JOC. If you want great food and a cooking lesson to boot, use
Mastering. Don't look for a lot of quick and cheap recipes, but if you
love good food enough to put in some extra effort and expense, this is
the one.
