That's what you TAKE. Tell them what you SEND with a homebound guest.
"You'll be hungry. You must take something to eat on the plane. You'll
starve if you don't. Are you sure you won't take a couple pounds of
pastrami and a pint of olives? There's some shrimp salad -- take it,
you'll be hungry if you don't eat." <cough>
