Hello Craig! You are dead right, of course. I wasn't meaning to
denigrate people who go to Vlado's, far from it though I wouldn't go
there myself partly because it's blokey and also because I'd never be
able to do justice to the serves.

It gets a bit difficult communicating with Peter, as you see, given his
isolation in the Deep North (consider the recent confusion over
mecca/Mecca Bah). We've got lots of pubs like the Norman in Melbourne
and I would never suggest anybody go anywhere near them, but I presume
that in Brisbane there's no alternative. Poor Peter would probably freak
out completely at Vlado's!
