I bought the book when it was published. Ms. Beranbaum does not
claim that it is a "diet" cake book. Her collection is the real
thing in cakes. The "Pie and Pastry Bible" is also the real thing in
pastry. I have enjoyed them both.

You might want to look for a different author.
