Yes, was about to say that. My step dad is a "Weedgie" (from glasgow),
and was always going on about mashed carrot and turnip. He did make good
soup though, and now I do too, every winter. Start by boiling the turkey
carcass from christmas dinner and chucking all the ham and gammon
leftovers.
