Hmm..I'm not a fan of Shaws at all, but the couple of Albertsons I've been
to in Florida and Texas were kinda nice. I have a huge problem with their
meats, I just flat out won't buy them, not even chicken. I will shop there
for their sales only, and then, there have to be a LOT of items at really
great prices.
I have shopped at Stop and Shop FOREVER! I agree it went downhill when
Ahold took over, but lately, I'm liking them a little better.
They still have the %@#&ing card, but they are also using "everyday low
pricing" on some basic items and I really like that.
We have 2 Stop and Shops within 2 miles of my house, and another 5 within a
10 mile radius. And they're building yet another. My city will have 3, one
neighboring town has 2. Shaws, has 3 stores within the 5 mile radius. To me
they are no competitor. What I'm really aching for is something OTHER than
Stop and Shop and Shaws. Like Shop Rite. Or Big Y.
