I prefer to know more about a more-restricted area. Knowing only a
little is useless. One could spend decades exploring ONLY Tusan wines!
Trying to know a little about all the wines in the world is to me a
pointless exercise, since so many of these wines are not compatible
with Italian regional cooking. Why, if I am engaged in Italian regional
cooking, should I bother with Australian or Chilean wines, when wines
from the region are a natural match? If I were going to produce a
Chilean meal, it might make sense.

No, I'm simply poking fun at the absurdities I see in the wine world.
