Well, Bonehead the Wonder Puppy.... uh, I mean my Dear Husband...
decided he did want to celebrate our anniversary after all. I today I
spent way too much money on a special dinner of lobster tail and shrimp
pasta.
I've never fixed lobster or clarified butter before so I'm kind of
freaking out. I'll let you know how it goes. The shrimp and pasta is a
Rachael Ray recipe (laugh all you want). Shallot and garlic in butter
and olive oil, then some dry vermouth, shrimp, grape tomatoes, and
tossed with cooked pasta. A little shredded asiago on the side, mainly
for me, because I'll put asiago on almost anything. I went to the
bakery for some tuscan bread and chocolate pie. We'll have some
prosecco for an aperitif and Pirramimma Cabernet with dinner. If we
have coffee, I have a few Dutch chocolates (expensive!) to go with them.
I swear, four chocolates cost as much as the lobster. Plus I have
five gazillion romantic candles setting out, too. I better be gettin'
some lovin' tonight!
