Best thing in the world for extracts. :-)
Chas made some dewberry liquor that way once.
Extracted the dewberries until the liquid was deep purple, then sugared
it well before diluting it with vodka and water.

I've not gone looking for wild dewberries now since before my mom got
too sick to pick them with me and after she died, I've just not been
interested.

I still have some pint jars of the Jelly she made tho'. Wonderful stuff!
