Well...my teachers aide brought me a rose, my students brought candy,
hot chocolate and a local Honduran breakfast specialty called a burrita
- refried beans, egg, and cheese sandwiched between two corn tortillas.
SO wanted to take me to the Steak Ranch in town but it was packed...so
we ended up in the local supermarket snack bar (owned and operated by
the same family that runs the Steak Ranch). We had salad, baked potato,
pot roast, veggies, garlic bread, a pina colada, and flan for desert.
In grade 11 biology today, one of the students asked if our dinner and
drinks were ok. His parents run the market and snack bar...and he was
making the pina coladas.
