Amazingly, I just asked my mother for this recipe a week ago. We don't put
the almonds on top, but here is the recipe as I received it. Enjoy!
Chicken Hawaiian
1 large green pepper, cut in strips
1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp salad oil
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 (13 oz.) can pineapple tidbits w/juice
2 cup cooked chicken, cubed
2 Tbsp soy sauce
3 cup cooked rice
1/4 cup almonds, slivered
In saucepan, cook (over medium flame) green pepper w/garlic in oil until
tender. Blend in soup and pineapple juice, add chicken, pineapple tidbits,
and soy sauce. Heat, stirring now and then. Serve over rice. Top with
almonds. 6 servings.
