what other newsgroups do you like?
rec.pets.dogs.behavior is home for me. That's where I know the regulars
(have met 2 in person) well enough to enjoy the off-topic discussion.
rec.crafts.textiles.quilting feeds my fabric and quilting addiction
though the off-topic stuff isn't as appealing. It is too often medical
and banal for my taste.
Quiltart is a private mailing list that deals more with quilts as
artwork than bedcovers. I like it.
I tried rec.arts.movies.current-films for a while but found the noise
ratio way too high. The discussion was more about the latest
blockbuster when I'm more likely to see the foreign and independent films.
