Dinner tonight
I just put in two loaves of rye bread (using deli rye flavoring from King
Arthur) for the pastrami I picked up at Costco last night. It is from
Carnegie Deli in NY (I recall eating there years ago and going to Evita, so
you know how long it's been). The only other time I've eaten this type of
meat or smoked meat was in Montreal at Swartz's, so I'm looking forward to
it. The only drawback is that it frozen and has to be heated in a plastic
pouch. That doesn't set well, but since I don't do this type of cooking,
once will be fine.
I will have some pickles and perhaps open a glass jar of sauerkraut.
Perhaps some wine, and a piece of left-over cheesecake.
