It was there when I moved in. The hood is a Sears Kenmore, works very
well, has a dual level lamp and the fan is on an infinite rheostat... I
typically use it within the lowest range. There are aluminum mesh
filters that I send through the dishwasher as needed. I've no idea who
did the duct work or who makes the soffit unit... it's quite possible
the previous owner did that part himself as he owned (still does) a
large machine shop.
