Teflon, aluminum and dementia

I think that is very much a matter of sensitivity to the Flavor Bob.
I've made the mistake of covering tomato dishes with aluminum foil, and
having holes eaten in the covering by the acid, leaving black spots on
the food...
To me, it leaves a distinct bitter flavor that I find to be very
unpleasant.
Can't help but wonder if cooking acid in aluminum would ruin a
recipe??????
