I don't keep important information on my computer either, but it's
always a good idea to have a personal firewall, if for no reason other
than to keep out computers searching for music. I don't want any
snoopers in my computer, no matter what their reason is. I use a
router (they have a built in firewall), XP has one you can turn on or
you can get the personal version of ZoneAlarm at home for free.
