<LOL> The lord helps those who help themselves. A question posted in
group would have gotten all the answers necessary. I just started going
to chat within the past few weeks. I didn't know anything about the RFC
chat, nor do I follow the politics here.

Nor did I know how to do any part of it, not being a chatter since I was
on AOL for that brief time in the last century. Asked a couple questions
showing my ignorance of the processes, got a few answers, and now I can
play if I want to. Very simple.

Go he <http://www.penguinpowered.ca/~vexorg/pjirc/rec.food.cooking.html>

In the lower right corner is a blank space with another box immediately
above it that says "change nick to." Put your cursor in it and type your
nickname into the blank box, and hit enter. Your nick will show up in
the list of people currently in attendance.

Immediately under the message panel is a blank space. Type any messages
you want to post in that space and hit enter.

Tha-tha-that's all folks. That's all you need to get started. Or, at
least, it's all I needed.

You can also change the color of the type you post. Can send private
messages to attendees. Other options are available. I don't know much
else because I don't need to for how I use the chat room. I'm sure there
are knowledgeable people here who would be happy to help.
