The last time *I* checked (locally), I checked out the cost
of the materials AND the cost of the installation.
....They were almost equal in total costs.
Maybe that's the difference between the W. & E. coasts, but
Corian was so close to the cost of granite that installing
granite was a no brainer.
The good part of granite is that it will last practically
forever. The bad part of granite is that it will last
practically forever.
