Describe a bad meal

I would have to say my Mom used to make the worst 'chili' I've ever
tasted. She used to mix 2 cans of red kidney beans with 2 cans of
Campbell's tomato soup, 2 soup-cans of water and a pound of browned
ground beef and called it 'chili'. UGH.
IMO, chili is supposed to be thick and meaty; it's supposed to have some
body to it and a little heat. This was Campbell's 'Chili Beef Soup'
before Campbell's decided to make it. (laughing) And even they took it
off the shelf and remade it into a 'chunky' soup

I will always remember the worst meal as an early teen -although no
fault of my mom- was the night our new puppy had gotten out of our yard
and was struck and killed instantly by a car.
Dinner had already been sat on the table which was our friday night
regular, hot dogs.
