That is false, pre-Neolithic human societies were hunter-gatherer in
nature. Man also learned how to gather plants and edible grains, and
this is how the spread of agriculture and agrarian societies developed
and of course how civilization sprouted and flourished.

Besides i would be hard put to call driving an SUV and/or any yuppie
friendly over-priced automobile to the corner store or the local
supermarket to buy dinner as any form of hunting, or gathering, other
than the moot comparison of the obvious fact of mostly eating the flesh
of dead and horrifically and brutally tortured animals.
