Personally, I believe in a daily serving of yogurt and mega doses of
vitamins C & B. I tend to lean heavily on fruits and vegetables with
lesser amounts of meats. I avoid commercially prepared anything, white
sugar, white flour, and white rice. Any grains I eat tend to be whole
grains. You can follow the food pyramid or the 5 daily routine as well.
OTOH, if you pickle yourself with enough alcohol there is no need to
worry
